Stock Rover Pricing Plans & Discounts: Which Plan Is Best?

Research You Can Trust ☆ IFTA Certified Analyst ✔

Stock Rover has always been one of the better-value research platforms I test, but its pricing structure has expanded significantly in 2026. There is still a free account, but paid users can now choose between Premium, Premium Plus, Ultimate, and Ultimate Pro.

For most serious private investors, my pick remains Premium Plus. It gives you the features that make Stock Rover special—deep fundamental screening, historical financials, fair-value analysis, research reports, and advanced ranking—without paying for Ultimate’s institutional-scale features.

PlanMonthlyAnnual2-Year RateBest For
Free$0$0$0Beginners and basic screening
Premium$34$29/mo$24/moIndependent investors
Premium Plus$70$49/mo$42/moSerious value, growth & dividend investors
Ultimate$99$79/mo$69/moRetirees, ETF/fund & advanced investors
Ultimate Pro$199$149/mo$129/moAdvisors & wealth professionals

You can have Stock Rover for free; however, the real power is unleashed with the Premium services.

Stock Rover’s Free plan includes ad-free screening for 8,500 stocks and 7,000 ETFs, portfolio analysis, and stock market news. The Free plan is OK for investors who use simple screening strategies and want to manage multiple stock portfolios in one place.

Stock Rover Premium & Premium Plus cost $29 and $49/mo, paid annually. I recommend Premium Plus for all experienced growth, income, and value investors because it unlocks unlimited fair value and margin-of-safety ratings, stock ratings, investor warnings, 700 metrics, and 20 years of historical data screening.

Ultimate and Ultimate Pro cost $79 and $149/mo, paid annually. These plans extend the services to include Options analysis, Insider metrics, and multiple client portfolio management tools for advisors. A 2-year subscription reduces all plans by 40%, representing a significant saving.

Stock Rover 25% Discount

Stock Rover does not offer coupon codes; however, new customers who start a free Premium or Premium Plus trial receive a 1-year 25% discount. You can save 28% if you sign up for a two-year subscription.

Sign up for a free 14-day premium trial for a 25% discount on Stock Rover. Toward the end of the trial period, you will receive an email from Stock Rover offering a 25% discount on any paid plan.

Annual plans are paid upfront, while the lowest advertised rates require a two-year commitment. Stock Rover says annual billing saves up to 30%, while two-year subscriptions save up to 40%.

Stock Rover Free: Best for Beginners

Stock Rover’s free account is unusually useful because you can continue using it after the trial ends without entering a credit card.

New users automatically receive a 14-day trial of Stock Rover Ultimate, with almost all advanced functionality available. If you do nothing at the end of the trial, the account simply reverts to Free.

I would use the free version if you only need basic screening, portfolio monitoring, watchlists, and financial research.

It is also the obvious starting point if you have never used Stock Rover before.

Premium: Best for Most Casual Investors

Premium currently costs $34 per month, month-to-month, or $348 per year, equivalent to $29 per month. A two-year subscription reduces the effective price to approximately $24 per month.

Premium provides:

  • 400+ financial metrics
  • Five years of fundamentals
  • 10 years of price history
  • 300+ stock screening metrics
  • Fundamental charting
  • Brokerage-connected portfolio management
  • Alerts
  • Limited Stock Rover scores and investor warnings

For someone managing a normal long-term portfolio who does not build sophisticated quantitative screens, Premium offers plenty of functionality.

Premium Plus: My Recommended Plan

For experienced stock investors, I think Premium Plus offers the best balance between price and capability.

It costs $70 monthly, $49 per month when billed annually, or approximately $42 per month on the two-year plan.

Premium Plus expands the database to 700+ metrics, provides 10 years of fundamentals and 20 years of historical prices, and adds equation-based and historical screening.

More importantly, you unlock:

  • Unlimited Stock Rover Scores
  • Fair Value and Margin of Safety
  • Investor Warnings
  • Ranked screening
  • Valuation and ratio charts
  • Advanced ETF screening
  • Custom financial metrics
  • Research reports on 7,000+ stocks

These are the features I find most valuable when researching growth, income, and value stocks.

In my independent testing, Stock Rover scored 4.37/5 overall and 5.00/5 for screening performance. Its strength is not day trading; it is finding fundamentally strong investments and monitoring them over time.

Ultimate: Best for Retirees, Funds and Advanced Investors

The new Ultimate plan costs $99 monthly, $79 per month annually, or $69 per month on a two-year subscription.

This tier becomes interesting if your portfolio contains more than individual stocks.

Ultimate adds:

  • 800+ financial metrics
  • 20 years of fundamentals
  • 30 years of dividend history
  • Reports covering 7,400 ETFs and 20,000 mutual funds
  • Real-time quotes where available
  • Insider metrics
  • Option metrics and full option chains
  • Analyst detail
  • Unlimited custom metrics
  • Much larger portfolio and screener limits

For retirees and income investors, the 30-year dividend history and fund-analysis tools are particularly useful.

If you mainly select individual stocks, however, I would save the money and use Premium Plus.

Ultimate Pro: Best for Professionals

Ultimate Pro costs $199 monthly, $149 per month annually, or $129 per month on a two-year plan.

It is designed for financial advisors and wealth professionals rather than ordinary investors, expanding Stock Rover to 300+ screeners, thousands of result rows, dozens of brokerage connections, bulk exports, and professional-scale portfolio management.

Most private investors simply do not need it.

How to Get the Best Stock Rover Discount

My first tip is never subscribe immediately without taking the 14-day free trial.

Stock Rover currently offers an official trial promotion that provides 25% off the first year of the subscription. Its trial email identifies the promotional code GOPREMIUM, although these offers can change, so I recommend using the promotion Stock Rover actually sends to your account.

Secondly, avoid paying monthly if you expect to keep Stock Rover.

Moving Premium Plus from $70 month-to-month to $49 on an annual plan saves $252 per year.

The two-year price drops further to $42 per month, a 40% reduction from $70 per month.

My preferred strategy is therefore:

Start the free trial → wait for the upgrade offer → compare the promotional annual price with the two-year price → choose whichever produces the lowest total cost.

Which Stock Rover Plan Should You Choose?

Beginner: Free
Casual long-term investor: Premium
Value, growth or dividend investor: Premium Plus — my top choice
Retiree or heavy ETF/fund investor: Ultimate
Financial advisor: Ultimate Pro

Stock Rover is particularly good value because it combines screening, company research, valuation, and brokerage-connected portfolio analytics on a single platform.

If you are an active day trader, I would look elsewhere. But for investors who make decisions based on fundamentals, valuation, dividends, and portfolio performance, Premium Plus remains one of the strongest research packages for the money.
